The hotel was beautiful and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Japanese breakfast and dinner with a wide variety of dishes with amazing flavors. The public outdoor onsen was relaxing and had a fine view I was like I was on top of the world.

It wasn't cheap but worth it for the experience we had.

Hatago kintoen has helpful staff who genuinely care about your experience. It's located right in front of a cemetery, which might make some guests uncomfortable. I enjoyed the interesting dining options offered , and the serene atmosphere created by the tatami flooring was quite lovely.

The room felt traditional, but it was comfortable enough for a restful night. Just keep in mind, the somewhat bare walls might not vibe with everyone.
